I made Play Dough for the first time this week. Homemade Play Dough has a way different smell than store bought Play Dough. The smell brings back memories of my mom making Play Dough for us when we were little. It was surprisingly easy to make. Here's the recipe:
1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
2 tsp cream of tartar
1 cup water
1 tbsp vegetable oil
Your choice of food coloring
Mix all the ingredients in a saucepan
Stir it while cooking over medium heat for about 3 minutes
Get it out and knead it until it's soft and smooth
The girls both seem to love it. Belle likes making things and requesting things for us to make while Lucy likes to try and sneak it into her mouth.
