We finally moved Belle into a toddler bed. She had been sleeping in a Pac N Play and was longer than it was, so we decided it was time to make the switch. Thanks to Taryn and Stephen for letting us borrow their toddler bed!
We talked it up to Belle and she was so excited about her new bed. She was ready to sleep in it as soon as we got it set up. Here are Belle and Daddy putting her new bed together:

The first night was rather eventful. She got up a couple of times before falling asleep and Daddy put her back in, and then she fell asleep fine. Then at 2:30 am we heard her screaming and crying and went in and found her on the floor. She had fallen out of the bed and was very upset about it. She kept saying "My new bed made me fall on the floor. I don't like my new bed!" We ended up letting her finish that night in her Pac N Play since she was so upset and scared of her new bed.The next night she was pretty scared about trying it again, but we reassured her, scooted her bed against the wall, put some rolled up blankets along the edge of the bed, and put a huge mound of blankets on the floor next to her bed in case she fell. We told her it was to help her to not fall out and she said, "thanks for helping." That night she did great! It couldn't have gone better! She didn't get up at all, slept all night, called for us to come get her in the morning at her usual time (which we had told her to do), and most importantly, she didn't fall out! Success!
Since then, she has napped in her new bed well and even done "crib time" sitting on her bed with some toys without getting off. She really is doing great with the transition.
