Thursday night as we were getting in bed, I decided that Friday should be family fun day. It was a bit last minute, I guess, but it was very fun! First we went to Chick-Fil-A for breakfast. (It was completely free thanks to our stash of coupons!) Then we rode up to Skytop Orchard for our first apple picking of the season! It was really hot, but lots of fun. The apples were low enough on the tree that Belle was even able to pick some by herself. We picnicked there for lunch and enjoyed some of their yummy apple cider doughnuts for dessert..mmm. In addition to the ones we picked, we came home with a huge bag of bruised apples for baking/apple sauce that were half price! We have already made one batch of apple sauce and have plans for lots more goodies to come! It was a fun day!
