We have been really busy recently, and I realized that because of that we had not yet enjoyed the fall in the mountains. It is only a 45 min drive, but when life is busy, it is hard to get up there! Saturday we were headed up that way for a birthday party in the afternoon anyway, so we left early and made a day of it picnicking in one of our favorite spots and enjoying the beauty. Even though it is past the peak of beautiful colors on the trees, it was still beautiful! And the 70 degree weather was pretty nice too. Ahhh. We love being in SC in the fall! Especially after three years in Missouri where they skip from sweltering summer to freezing winter in about a week.
